About Attuned
Attuned Therapy & Education was created from both clinical and lived experience — and a desire to hold space for the full picture.
Not the polished version. The real one.
The version where children communicate through behaviour, adults carry more than they show, and families are doing their best within systems that don’t always understand.
This work is about making sense — not fixing, labelling, or rushing.
Attuned exists to support people in understanding themselves and each other in context — nervous systems, relationships, environments, and lived experience.
It’s a space where complexity is expected, not pathologised.
Where behaviour is seen as communication.
And where care is relational, thoughtful, and steady — not performative or prescriptive.
Hi, I’m Maddie
-
I’m Maddison Clancy — Registered counsellor, education practitioner, and founder of Attuned.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families, bringing a relational, neuro-affirming, and trauma-informed approach. I’m not a blank-slate therapist — I show up as a thoughtful, grounded human, and I’m careful about how and when I share parts of myself so that the space stays supportive rather than burdensome.
I care deeply about people feeling accurately seen. Not overly reassured. Not reduced to labels. And not left holding things alone.
-
I work with the understanding that healing and change happen in relationship — not through pressure or performance.
That means paying close attention to pacing, safety, and readiness. It means being open and present, while still holding clear boundaries and a steady therapeutic frame. And it means allowing moments of humour, relief, and celebration when they’re earned — without rushing past the harder parts.

I hold a Diploma of Counselling (Child Development, Family Therapy & Effective Parenting), a Diploma of Early Childhood Education, and specialist training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) Level 1.
I am a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and work within professional and ethical guidelines.
